About Jefferson County Court Docket

Jefferson County court records are divided among two territorial Circuit Clerk offices, several court levels, Probate Court, and city clerks. We built this private reference site to make that routing easier. It brings together the official access points, contact details, and request paths needed to reach an Alabama docket without treating every case as though it lived in one database.

Why We Built This Site

Alabama permits public access to open court files, yet Jefferson County presents an unusual first question: Birmingham Division or Bessemer Division? The two Jefferson County Circuit Clerks keep the official Circuit and District Court records for their own territories. Probate Court and Municipal Courts maintain other files. Just One Look supplies paid statewide trial-court access, while Find My Courtroom focuses on settings. We organize those official routes, explain what each one does, and show when a clerk counter is the better choice.

What You Will Find Here

  • Docket guides: how criminal dockets and civil dockets are searched and read in Jefferson County
  • Court dates and settings: how to read the court calendar and confirm a hearing date or setting
  • Case lookups: how to run a case search by party name or case number through the statewide portal
  • Record requests: how court records and certified copies are requested from the clerk of court

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately run reference site, with no connection to an Alabama court, Circuit Clerk, Municipal Court, Probate Court, or government agency. Our role has firm limits:

  • We cannot pull an official docket sheet or case file for anyone
  • We cannot change, reschedule, or reset a court date or hearing setting
  • We cannot remove, seal, or amend a case on any docket
  • We cannot issue certified copies of any docket, order, or court document
  • We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
  • We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or setting listed on this site is current right now

Only the clerk of court or the trial court that heard the case can issue an official or certified copy of a docket sheet or court record. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.

Search Partners

Third-party providers operate search boxes shown on some pages. They control their services, prices, and results. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may generate a referral fee that supports this free reference resource. We cannot set a provider's charge or determine what its search returns.
